New gluten free products for May

Posted: May 31, 2025 Updated: June 1, 2025
Wow May has been a bumper month for gluten free products, in particular doughnuts (donuts?) with not one but two new options.
Most of the new releases were seen in the first week of May, it was absolutely wild on Facebook. I’d share one new product, get 100s of likes and an hour later someone would be in my DMs with another product they’d spotted.
You’ll see most of the new products this month are from Woolworths and located in the freezer section. Unfortunately the gluten free freezer section isn’t expanding, we’ve seen several products on clearance to make way for new doughnut and pizza options.
What I’ve seen on clearance in the last month or so
- Gluten free naan
- Jase’s Kitchen ham and pineapple pizza – oddly I’ve seen this pack in stock
- Simply Wize apple turnovers
- Cheese and bacon quiches
- Jase’s Kitchen brownies and caramel slice
- Agogo wraps

So let’s get right into it, here are the latest gluten free products for May 2025. Be sure to check my Instagram where I’ll have this post as a reel.
Aldi noodle pots
Be aware these noodle pots are limited time only, so do get in quick if you want to try them out. It’s always tricky with the limited release because there’s no guideline on how long it will be.
- Aldi Urban Eats thom yum noodle cup, 70g. Allergens: Crustacean, fish, milk, soy. May contain: Sulphites. Read Kati’s review on Facebook.
- Aldi Urban Eats green curry noodle cup, 70g. Allergens: Fish, milk, soy. May contain: Sulphites, crustacean.

Betty Crocker chocolate chunk cookie mix
Technically this is a re-boot but it’s been a good three or four years since it was on the shelves so I’m calling it new.
- Betty Crocker gluten free choc chunk cookie mix, 380g. Allergens: Milk, soy. May contain: Egg.

Coco and Lucas bacon mac and cheese
This was the first of the new products to hit the shelves this month, spotted at Woolies in the first week of May.
- Coco and Lucas bacon mac and cheese, 350g. Allergen: Milk. May contain: Egg, fish, soy, crustacean, mollusc, sesame, tree nuts, sulphites.

Coco and Lucas Japach noodles
This one you’ll find in the regular ready meal section, not the GF. Importantly it’s vegan – which is pretty rare for GF ready meals.
- Earth Korean japchae noodles, 300g. Allergens: Soy, sesame. May contain: Almond, macadamia, pine nut, pistachio, walnut, sulphites.

Coles Finest beef bourguignon and mash
It is so so rare to find a fresh ready meal at Coles that is gluten free and has no may contains for wheat / gluten. So this new beef bourguignon is definitely special. I’ve updated my gluten free ready meal guide to Coles and I think I’ll even review this in the near future.
- Coles Finest beef bourguignon and mash, 400g. Allergens: Milk. May contain: Nil.

Coles lamb pasanda with pilau rice
Also in the Coles Finest range is this north Indian curry, lamb pasanda. From what I’ve read online pasanda typically uses almonds however there are none in this ready meal.
- Coles Finest lamb pasanda with jewelled pilau rice, 350g. Allergens: Milk, sulphites. May contain: Nil.

Jase’s Kitchen BBQ chicken and mushroom pizza
This pizza is mini size, just 185g. I don’t think I’ve ever tried Jase’s Kitchen, their other pizza is ham and pineapple which is a polite no thank you from me. I don’t particularly like pizza ham and definitely not pineapple on pizza. 😅
Still this is a great option, there’s no other GF BBQ pizza on the market.
- Jase’s Kitchen gluten free BBQ chicken and mushroom mini pizza, 185g. Allergens: Milk, soy. May contain: Nil.

Katz cinnamon donut holes
This is the long awaited second product to be released in Australia following the success of the Katz gluten free glazed doughnuts back in 2022. There was an attempt to bring in the Katz cinnamon buns however they didn’t make it to market due to containing oat flour.
- Katz cinnamon donut holes, 170g. Allergens: Egg. May contain: Nil.

Senza pepperoni pizza
We have more than one frozen pizza option at the shops, wooooo! Honestly, it’s a little sad that we celebrate this, surely with so many people in Australia eating gluten free we’d get more GF pizza options than Finland*?
I’ve already tasted and reviewed the new Senza pizza so have a read if you’re curious.
- Senza gluten free pepperoni pizza, 380g. Allergens: Milk. May contain: Soy.

* I looked up a Finnish grocery website and found not one or two, but seven gluten free frozen pizza options. Damn.
Simply Wize churros Spanish doughnuts
Two kinds of gluten free doughnuts in a month is just amazing. If you’ve never had a churros doughnut before it’s pretty similar to a regular one except it’s long with a rippled exterior. They are generally cooked longer than standard donuts so you end up with a crunchy exterior and a soft centre.
- Simply Wize gluten free churros, 220g. Allergens: Nil. May contain: Egg, soy, fish, crustacean, mollusc, tree nuts.

Su Xin Dim Sum beef dim sims
We haven’t had dim sims at Woolies since they deleted the Harry Hoo ones a few years ago. These are quite simple in terms of ingredients, just 9 or 10 in total.
- Su Xin Dim Sum beef dim sims, 300g. Allergens: Nil. May contain: Crustacean, egg, milk, sesame, soy.

Warburton’s pittas
I honestly don’t know what to say, this new release snuck by me! I had no idea it was out until I saw it on my friend’s Instagram stories.
Warburton’s seems to have withdrawn their crumpets from the market so it’s good at least that we’ve got another product to try in its place.
- Warburton’s gluten free pittas, 240g.
